Get your kicks at this exciting, family-friendly event slated for July 23-25, 2027. This FREE event a classic car show, concerts, dance music, kids' games, pedal car races, fire dancers, and the famed Tunnel of Fire on Route 66. There will also be a balloon mass ascension and balloon glow on Route 66, featuring 66 hot air balloons! You are welcome to join the Gallup community to celebrate the Mother Road. We look forward to seeing you for the Route 66 Centennial celebration in 2026.

Friday, July 23

6:40 a.m. - Balloon Mass Ascension from Gallup Golf Course - weather-permitting (Sponsored by Exxon Mobile & Gallup Propane)
8:30 p.m. - 66 Balloons on 66 Glow at Gallup Airport - Park & Ride Available near Florence St. as Rt. 66 will be closed to thru traffic — or spectators may also walk into the event

Saturday, July 24

6:30 a.m. - Balloon Mass Ascension from Red Rock Park - weather-permitting (Sponsored by Exxon Mobile & Gallup Propane)

7:00 a.m. - Red Rock Roller Bike Ride (register at TBA)

8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. - Car show registration (pre-register at TBA)

9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Morning Market with Local Vendors @ The Walkway (sign up:TBA)

10 a.m. to 3 p.m. - Classic Car show on Coal Street w/ Farmtruck & AZN, Route 66 Pedal Car Races

5 p.m. to 11 p.m. - Evening Market with Local Vendors, a Food Court, & Wise Fools of NM Circus Ambient Entertainment at Historic Courthouse Square (Sign up:TBA)

6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. - Dance Music by Silver Country Band at Historic Courthouse Square

8:30 p.m. Wise Fools of NM Circus Try-Out Zone at Historic Courthouse Square

8:40 p.m. - Tunnel of Fire on Historic Route 66 & Third Street to First Street

9:00 p.m. to 11 p.m. - Dance Music by The Black Pearl Band of New Mexico at Historic Courthouse Square
