Learn the fundamental skills needed to explore design and engineering through activities using OFPL’s MakerSpace machines and equipment.
● September 9 – Cricut Machines
Master the machine in this hands-on introduction to vinyl cutting and design. Learn essential maker “shop skills,” including how to load and unload materials, set cutting pressure, and safely run a project from start to finish. You’ll also explore Cricut Design Space and learn how to prepare a digital design for the physical world.
● September 23 – 3D Class: Bambu A1 Mini
Master the machine in this hands-on introduction to 3D printing. You’ll learn essential maker “shop skills,” including how to load and unload filament, level the bed, and safely start a print. You’ll also explore slicer software and learn how to prepare a digital file for printing by working with critical settings such as supports and bed adhesion.
