The wares created in our community supply art markets and retail across the United States. As the gateway to the Native American culture, Gallup affords easy access to visit Zuni Pueblo and the Navajo Nation or experience authentic traditional dances right here in Gallup performed by a variety of area tribes, with traditional drum, rattle and flute instruments. Gallup also celebrates its rich cultural heritage that grew when diverse European, Asian, and South American cultures immigrated into the area during the late 1800s for construction of the railroad and coal mining.
